MERCi was set up in 1996 by a group of Manchester campaigners who were frustrated by the lack of support, positive vision and available resources to make Manchester a sustainable city As we are now much more than just Bridge 5 Mill (although it is still is an essential part of our vision for a sustainable future) we just call ourselves MERCi Both Bridge 5 Mill and the Environment Network have grown since they were set up and other projects have been added to our delivery of 'ideas into action'
