The IATC is offering UK Companies with expertise or technology in the agri-food supply chain the opportunity to meet up to 200 current and potential Sainsbury's producers and suppliers at conferences in South Africa and Kenya.These conferences are designed to engage and inform producers and potential suppliers of retailer requirements, customer demand and expectations, legislation and standards in order to help leverage greater trade and add value in Country.The IATC have agreed with Sainsbury's that UK Companies will operate a 'clinic' for the African companies in the break out areas of these conferences.At these clinics South African and Kenyan companies can meet UK companies with expertise and technology in food processing, packaging, traceability, food safety, legislation, logistics and standards.It is hoped that the meetings will result in successful trade relationships and contribute to food security in the region.The visit will also offer the UK companies the opportunity to participate in discussions with key food chain players from South Africa and Kenya, and network with representatives from aid agencies, UN organisations and government.Sainsbury's will be inviting 100 attendees to each of the conferences from the following product sectors:  FlowersTeaCoffeeNutsFruitVegetables WineSugarFishCanned TunaCocoaDried fruitCottonVenue: Cape Town and NairobiSectors: Business Consultancy & Services, Environment, Genetics / Biotechnology, Horticulture, Logistics / Distribution, Machinery / Equipment, Packaging / Processing, Post-harvest Technology, Research & Development, Training & Education, Water Type of event: TradeVisit Grants: YesContact: Ben SalisburyEmail: bens@iatc.org.ukTelephone: 024 7632 3965
