Loopy Lorna's Tea House is OPEN!Why Loopy Lorna's??? Loopy Lorna's is named after and is a tribute to my wonderful and lovely mum, Lorna, who died 11 years ago from lung cancer. It is the realisation of a long-standing dream to create a real taste of home through providing the very best in quality loose leaf teas and REAL home-baking baked on the premises, not only can you see the cakes being baked but you will be surrounded by the sweet scents of our busy baking ovens. Loopy Lorna's endeavours to be a true part of the local community and the majority of the china and cake stands have been bought from the charity shops on Morningside Road. The proceeds of the launch party on 28 October went to The Marie-Curie Hospice, Fairmilehead in honour of my mum and I would like to maintain this link by holding periodical fundraising events on the hospice's behalf. Our speciality is a spectacular Traditional Afternoon Tea! Delicate sandwiches, fresh scones straight from the oven overflowing with Cornish clotted cream and home-made preserves as well as a selection of dainty home-baking, all washed down with a fine china teapot of proper loose leaf tea. You can also bring your own bubbly to make it an extra special occasion!We also serve scrumptious breakfasts, snacks and light meals.........oh and great coffee too!
