The brainchild of former journalist Jill Dunning and local businessman David Brankling, Market Deli started life as a stall selling olives at the Aberdeen Country Fair, which takes place once a month in the city's Belmont Street Our mission is to bring good food to the heart of Aberdeen's key shopping area and provide the local residents and business people with the deli delights they could easily get in Scotland's other main cities We will bring delicious deli items direct to your door We have also launched a delivery service in the Kingswells area of Aberdeen, which, depending on its success, could be extended to other suburbs of the city As well as a choice cheese selection from the UK and the Continent, our range stretches from succulent Greek olives, Italian pasta and pesto, Spanish paella rice, and French foie gras to innovative Scottish oatcakes, preserves, sauces, beer, wine and liqueur from north of the border-that's not to mention our herbs and spices from around the world
