S-CAN Fixturing + Mounts
Traditionally, fixturing systems have been designed for use with Coordinate Measuring Machines. Here they are only subject to light contact and often won't provide the stability required when probing using a portable CMM. They are also set at difficult heights and can be overly obtrusive for 3D scanning. Having experienced this gap in the market, S-CAN have developed our own range of portable CMM and 3D scanning specific fixturing and mounting systems, using our extensive design experience and onsite manufacturing capabilities. Our main design criteria are as follows: • Maintain rigidity when any level of reasonable working force is applied. • Support components at optimally workable heights in order to allow both scanning and probing above and below components in one iteration. • Be as non-obtrusive as possible.
