  13 Day Easter Wildlife Photography Tour 2011This is an expertly led photography tour focussing on one of India's most exciting tiger reserves. The famous Bandhavgarh National Park has been specifically chosen for its richness of wildlife and unparalleled beauty.This specially commissioned tour departs twice yearly.Upcoming tour dates:- Tour details at a glance:Dates: Saturday 16th April 2011 - Thursday 28th April 2011Tour starts in Delhi Sunday 17th April.Tour ends in Delhi on Thursday 28th April.Maximum of 8 persons. Day 1Saturday 16th April Arrive in Delhi.You will be met and collected from the airport and driven by AC taxi to hotel.Overnight at hotel. Day 2Sunday 17th AprilDepart Delhi on overnight AC sleeper train to Umaria.Packed lunch provided for the train.  Day 3 - 8Monday 18th April - 23rd AprilArrive in Umaria Station.Short AC drive to Bandhavgarh.Check into hotel. Early lunch and in the afternoon, we start the first of our safari drives. We will spend the next 6 nights at Bandhavgarh.Our photographic safaris will consist of morning and afternoon jeep drives with your own personal and enthusiastic wildlife guides, to ensure you get the most from your trip.  Day 9Sunday 24th AprilMorning safari drive.Lunch and a short AC taxi drive back to Umaria Train Station for the overnight AC sleeper train to Agra.  Day 10Monday 25th AprilOn early morning arrival in Agra, we will check into hotel for breakfast and to freshen up before we visit the Taj Mahal.Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, we will take a short drive along the Yamuna River to visit the impressive Red Fort, where we can also view the Taj from across the river.Evening meal at hotel. Overnight Agra. Day 11Tuesday 26th AprilBreakfast, then morning AC drive back to Delhi.Check into hotel and lunch.Afternoon, visit the colourful street markets of Delhi for shopping etc.Evening meal at hotel. Day 12Wednesday 27th AprilBreakfast, then a short AC drive to Ohkla Bird Sanctuary which is situated on the Yamuna River on the outskirts of Delhi.Packed lunch.Afternoon, visit the India GateEvening meal at hotel.  Day 13Thursday 28th AprilTransfer to International Airport The tour includes:-Accomodation is on a full board basis.A total of 12 safari drives, all meals, all park and monument entrance feels, all transportation costs, services of a naturalist,airport pick up and drop off. The tour does not include:-Tips, video camera charges (still/digital cameras are free), beverages, laundry, personal insurance or any other expense of a personal nature.  Tour Leader - Barry StewartBarry was born with binoculars in his hands! He has been a keen birdwatcher his whole life. Barry has been a bird ringer for over 20 years and is a superb all round naturalist, writing many articles about wildlife in general, for different publications.Professionally, he worked for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, before he was asked to assist with the setting up of the WWT centre in Llanelli.Barry has a first class degree in Environmental Biology and has spent the last ten years carrying out environmental impact assessments, where he advises various councils and independent clients about habitat creation and wildlife conservation, specialising in sensitive species.He is a very enthusiastic and competent photographer, having numerous photographs published in books and magazines. His wildlife passion also extends into the field of lepidoptera, which has naturally led him into macro photography and to the recent publication of the book, 'Moths of Glamorgan' of which he is co-author. Season dependent, Barry invariably travels to India with his light trap in order to safely lure various insects for identification photography, adding another dimension to this exciting tour.
