Rural Studio is a North East Architect practice based just outside Durham City. The Principal Architect is Robin Parsons, a RIBA Chartered Architect and listed on the Architect Registration Board. From a young age Robin knew that he wanted to run his own practice. Completing his Part 1 and Part 2 Architecture Masters at Edinburgh University, Robin then spent the next 15 years working as an Associate Architect and Project Architect for one of the largest Newcastle upon Tyne Architecture practice. Robin delivered the firm's largest £15 million project for a client with short deadlines, and he worked on a broad range of prize winning schemes from student housing projects, hotels and corporate headquarters. It is the love of creating beautiful yet comfortable spaces for people to spend time in that lead to the creation of Rural Studio. Originally from the South Lakes Robin's family are small property developers who over the years have drawn heavily on his experience of crafting beautiful homes in the National Parks (that planners liked!). Rural Studio offers an unusual combination of the latest technologies and 3D modelling with a practical understanding of beauty. With an ability to deliver projects with a fast turn-around Rural Studio is excited about helping people create their dream project.
