Wingfield is an ensemble of flexible constitution and performs recitals ranging from classical to modern and is often joined in its music making by distinguished musicians from the BBC NOW and WNO. The group originated as a group of musicians who met socially to play the rich chamber music repertoire for fun. The enjoyment factor is still paramount in the group's concert performances
