Welcome to Edinburgh EAL Service The EAL Service also works more widely with schools and other partners to develop and promote inclusive strategies, and to help practitioners recognise and value linguistic and cultural diversity via the implementation effective race equality practice Most schools in the City of Edinburgh Children and Families Dept therefore have an EAL teacher working with them on one or more days each week, and may also have a Bilingual Support Assistant on a similar basis We work in partnership with schools and other agencies to help them meet the needs of bilingual and minority ethnic learners in ways that are socially and educationally inclusive
