Mincoff Jacksons Merger Announcement
Two North East commercial law firms Mincoffs from Tyneside and Jacksons from Tees Valley opened their doors today as Mincoff Jacksons LLP staking its claim as one of the top five major players in the North East legal market. Comprising 21 partners and over 160 staff Mincoff Jacksons will operate as a two-centre practice from its current offices in Newcastle and Tees Valley. The merged firm is seeking to develop its client base further across the North of England and also aims to develop its work outside this region on the back of its strength in numbers. Mincoffs is already extremely active for UK-wide commercial clients and recent notable work includes acting for high street names such as Tesco and Iceland food stores in the North West and Yorkshire. Jacksons has been a key player in Yorkshire for many years and counts CE-Electric and Wensleydale Dairies among its clients. The new firm will be headed by the current senior partners of both practices Howard Gold and Kevin Fletcher who will also sit on the firm's management board with Paul Hughes and John Nicholson from Mincoffs and Nigel Kidwell and Tony Wentworth from Jacksons. A modern brand identity has been developed for the new firm which will be implemented across all its signage literature and website.
