Shakespeare for baby's surely not? Absolutely yes! Why not? Why not expose babies and pre-school children to some of the best literature ever written in a form they understand, is fun and that they love? Shakespeare's Baby Academy is for parents who wish their children to develop their literacy skills. It is a program for word loving, wiggly-bottomed, head-nodding, feet-stamping, energetic babies (0 - 2) and pre-school children (aged 3 - 5 years). The sessions are divided into two groups according to age: Mini Bards (0 - 2 years) During this 30 minute session, the children will sing songs, dance, and perform movements all to Shakespearian themed songs and rhymes. Little Players (3 - 5 years) This is a six week programme and each session lasts 1 hour. During this time, the little thespians will rehearse a much simplified version of a Shakespearian play. Through song, dance, movement and drama the children will work towards creating a fun, action-packed showcase.
