Exhibition with a Twist!Edinburgh artist Lynne Harkes in association with Jeffreys Interiors are delighted to announce their upcoming art and interior exhibition, "Angel Wings in Bloom". The exhibition opens on 23rd February and runs until 28th February at the Dundas Street Gallery, showcasing original paintings in oil by Lynne Harkes and a furnished gallery space created by Jeffreys Interiors of Edinburgh. Angel Wings in Bloom promises to bring you an exhibition with a twist! Lynne Harkes is an Edinburgh born artist who specialises in flower paintings. Lynne has previously exhibited in the Sultanate of Oman where she spent time living, before moving into the depths of the African jungle in Gabon. Her paintings have been sold across the world, however, the upcoming exhibition Angel Wings in Bloom has brought her back to her native and beloved city of Edinburgh.Jeffreys Interiors of Edinburgh are supporting Lynne’s first solo exhibition by furnishing the gallery space with their unique and elegant style, making a harmonious and comfortable gallery space to showcase their combined creativity.Growing Invitations.. very greenIn keeping with the theme of Lynnes paintings, she has commissioned exhibition invitiations to be printed on to special paper embedded with seeds, which after use can be planted in a couple of millimetres of soil to grow. Lynne said “My wish is that people will have some summer blooms to appreciate and pleasant memories of my exhibition. It is almost as if the paintings themselves, taken from Nature revert to their natural forms.” These unique invitations were made by Dr. Helen Marshall BSc. (Hons) MSc. Ph.D of Growing Greetings.
