New high performance mineral oil free coolant solves operator complaints

28/05/2020

Lubriserv has solved operator complaints at Midlands Aerospace company by using new technology synthetic oil based coolant on CNC machining operations, using SINTRAL MCF 565, NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE, SYNTHETIC - LUBROCOOLANT.  The Midlands based precision enginering company was experiencing operators complaining of skin irritaion and sticky residues on the machines from the oil based coolant. They needed a coolant to provide not only high performance on a range of aerospace alloys and yellow metals but a coolant that kept the machine tool clean, had a long sump life and didnt cause any skin irritation to operators. After trialling several products they concluded that SINTRAL MCF 565 from Lubriserv Ltd was the only coolant that met all the criteria. The coolant is not like other synthetic products which dry the slideways, give minimal lubrication and can be harsh to the skin - it is a  'LUBROCOOLANT' working as a water miscible synthetic oil. The appearance is milky - just as an oil based coolant and it still provides all the lubrication required for cutting and for the machine tool itself.   SINTRAL MCF 565 is a high performance, mineral oil free  water miscible lubrocoolant with outstanding “multimetal” features. SINTRAL MCF 565 is a member of a new generation of cutting fluids. It does not contain chlorine, yet with the use of special additives;  it is designed as an all-purpose heavy duty coolant. Where To Use It:General use in machining operations on cast iron, carbon steel and low-to-medium alloy steel, as well as aluminium alloys and copper alloys. Excellent for machining aluminium and tough alloys, where extreme pressure is required. Extremely operator friendly with the absence of mineral oil.   Performance Benefits:ØNew synthetic lubricant technology provides high Extreme Pressure characteristics ØMulti-metal capability. Use one coolant throughout the plant. ØExtremely long sump life reduces coolant change-outs. Lower annual disposal fees. ØHigh resistance to bacterial and fungal growth ØOperator and Health and Safety friendly ØProtects against sticky switches and valves. Keeps machines clean yet protected. ØSuperior Tramp Oil rejection for removal of oils, keeps machine & work pieces clean ØNon-staining chemistry ØCleaner machines – tolerates hard water. ØLow foam levels even on high pressure systems. ØExcellent corrosion protection   SINTRAL MCF 565, owing to its innovative formulation and to absence of mineral oil, SINTRAL MCF 565 ensures the highest compliance with health and environmental requirements. Its specific formulation enables the use of SINTRAL MCF 565 in a broad range of applications.   Typical Physical and Chemical data                                                                                                                   Visual appearance  Clear liquid Density at 15°C ASTM D 1298  0,950 Kg/dm³Emulsion appearance  Milky-white pH at 5% in water ASTM E70  9.3 Corrosion test (chip/filter test) IP 287  Pass at 2% Refractometer factor  1.15 Brix  Concentrations in water vary according to the kind of operation and to general machined material, they range from 5-7% approx  for general machining operations to 8-10% approx  for heavy-duty operations.   Contact Lubriserv to arrange a machine trial nowwww.lubriserv.comTel: 0115 9328276
