Gardens

Our gardens were originally preserved in the 1800s by Ernest Jardine, who as a progressive industrialist wanted somewhere for his workers to relax and enjoy, as well as have the opportunity to grow vegetables. Since this time the gardens have been further built upon to bring them to the standards at which you see them today, and as an exquisite hidden gem you can really spend some time and enjoy the surroundings. The gardens have only been open to the public for a very short time, and this is why the gardens are also known as the Secret Gardens of Somerset. With water features, ponds, shrubbery, floral masterpieces and an organic vegetable garden on offer, the gardens really do have something for everyone!
