Electrical Parts Located is a completely new service to the Electrical Industry, especially designed to help locate parts that are not readily available, maybe the part is on a long delivery, has been made obsolete, maybe your Distributor can't make up an order to cover a minimum order charge, or he has to buy a box quantity and not willing put the rest on his shelf, there are many reasons for a delay. If a product is not readily available from the manufacturer there is not much a distributor can do to locate it except check his company's stock, (the introduction of the computer system has made this a lot easier as they very often show stock at other branches) but if that draws a blank the distributor is left with the option of offering an alternative, or admitting defeat and going back to the customer and saying, "sorry, I have checked everywhere and there are none available".The truth is they haven't checked everywhere, they haven't checked with their Competitors, they haven't checked with Electrical Contractors, they haven't checked with OEM's and they haven't checked with Factory Maintenance Engineers, this is not unusual as they don't have the time or the contacts to sort through as many possibilities as we do. Electrical Parts Located will be able to check with these as our data base will list stockists of franchised lines, the data will also include, Electrical Contractors, OEM's and Factory Maintenance Engineers as these often have products on their shelves they no longer use or need, or use on a regular basis, as well as Electrical Distributors and it will cover as much of the UK as possible.
