Formula One Races use Netvue IPTV
IPTV is the convergence of television distribution with IT data network infrastructure. IPTV has rapidly become the industry standard for TV and audio-visual distribution around buildings. McLaren Racing use IPTV equipment from Netvue to distribute live broadcast TV and screens of timing data and race information around the Race Garage and Hospitality areas at Formula One Grand Prix races. They also use the IPTV system to provide the live TV pictures and timing screens to the all-important Pit Wall facility at every Formula 1 race. Back at the McLaren corporate headquarters building in Woking, Surrey the corporate IT network is used with a Netvue supplied IPTV system to distribute live broadcast TV around the building. This allows TV viewing by multiple users in reception and hospitality areas, as well as meeting rooms and offices, without any co-ax TV cabling.
