Westerly Showband is a first rate amateur wind orchestra which is the process of converting to a movie-style orchestra. For this it is recruiting all wind instrument although preference will be given to those with big band experience. It also needs rhythm section instruments i.e. e bass and drums. The new orchestra will perform its first concert in St George's Bristol in October with a concert entitled "Movie Music Spectacular". St George's, for the uninitiated, is Bristol's second largest concert hall.
