We have been producing glass through our sister The Looking Glass of Bath for over 35 years and have recently started a new website which details only our antiqued glass. As manufacturers of high quality reproduction 18th and 19th century mirrors, we are constantly asked to fit antique mirror plates into our frames in order to help give them a more authentic look and feel. However, as the sourcing and supply of old mirror glass has become ever more problematical and time consuming, we decided to silver modern glass ourselves to replicate the softer grey tone and foxing of old mercury glass.We now have a number of pre silvered stock sheets here in Bath that we ask our clients to choose from, and as long as we have prior notice, our workshop can usually then cut and fit the glass into our client’s frames on a same day basis.
