V-GES Vertical Electrophoresis SystemThe V-GES vertical gel electrophoresis system includes an electrophoresis tank, electrode module, and two casting modules for casting and running up to two SDS-PAGE/native PAGE-gels simultaneously. A clever casting module design offers extremely easy and leak-free operation without the need for screws. A selection of spacers and combs allows for the user to cast gels of different thickness and well number according to requirements. The electrode module is fitted inside the electrophoresis tank, and when the gels are polymerized, the gel-sandwiches slide easily into the module. Once mounted, the electrode module creates an enclosed leak-free buffer space, allowing samples to be loaded. The electrophoresis tank allows sufficient buffer volume for passive cool-down without the need for extra cooling. Correct gel running direction is ensured through the uni-direction tank lid design.
