A Health Visitor is a qualified, registered nurse who has completed additional specialist training in the health and wellbeing of families. Health Visitors are especially helpful to families with babies and young children.I have over 30 years of experience as a Health Visitor, having previously worked in a variety of settings as a registered nurse and midwife. I have also been responsible for the training and education of student health visitors and community nurses.I am particularly interested in promoting and sustaining breastfeeding and have attended UNICEF UK Baby Friendly training which has provided me with up to date skills in supporting new mothers to successfully breastfeed their babies. I also have expertise in identifying and supporting women with post natal depression. I am also professionally qualified to provide advice on a variety of behavioural problems.
