Marie Curie Cancer Care's Regional Events Team in the North is responsible for a calendar of regional fundraising events to raise monies to fund the Marie Curie Nursing Service. Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. We also provide care in nine hospices across the UK, three of which are located in the North Region.Our events provide exciting and fun ways in which to fundraise for the charity. They include events such as a Zipwires, Dance-a-thons, Walk Ten, Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, Great Manchester Run, Great North Run, Scafell Pike 5 Peaks Challenge amongst others. Marie Curie Cancer Care also have Overseas Challenges and Treks to many iconic locations including Kilimanjaro, China's Great Wall and Everest Base Camp.
