Bridge Navigation Watch Alram System
The mandatory rollout of bridge navigational watch alarm systems (BNWAS), begins in July. Under new SOLAS regulations, all new passenger vessels and new cargo ships of more than 150gt delivered after 1 July 2011 will need BNWAS equipment on board. Owners of existing vessels will need to install alarm equipment in line with the accompanying table.
