Clive Greenaway MMC - After Dinner Speaker, Tommy Cooper Tribute, Close Up MagicianWelcome to the world of Clive St James... Clive's entertainment career started at the age of 21 when, on leaving the army, he became the youngest driving instructor in the UK, gained the record for passing every vehicle test and ran one of the country's largest driving schools. The RAC contracted him as one of their expert lecturers on Road Safety and when speaking to large, captive audiences Clive realised that it was his humour that made the subject less painful for his listeners! Soon Clive found himself behind the scenes and in front of the cameras in the BBC Celebrity Driving School, Channel 4's Mad, Bad and Dangerous and the powerful documentary CRASH. Suddenly Clive was in great demand as an after dinner speaker at corporate events for companies like Rolls Royce, Nissan UK and BMW and for Rotary, Round Table and Golf Clubs across the UK. Clive's love of comedy and magic gave him a regular spot on Channel 4's Big Breakfast and Stand-up Live for 'Live TV'. During this time he gained his equity card and appeared in East Enders, The Bill, Casualty, Only Fools and Horses and a number of television commercials. During after dinner speaking appearances Clive, who had always been a great fan of Tommy Cooper, began to feature his jokes and extraordinary magic to the audiences and quickly discovered what a favourite they were. Soon he was being asked to do cabaret at all sorts of shows and functions where his reputation grew as a marvellous Tommy Cooper Tribute Act and raconteur. Clive is a first class magician in his own right, being a member of the world famous Magic Circle and in 2012 became the WMA's first magician to gain Stage, Close Up and Comedy Magician all in one year. He is also a member of Toastmasters International and President of his local Toastmasters Club. Clive now regularly appears in theatres around the country with his Tommy Cooper stage show and is also putting together the Tommy Cooper Fan Club. If you would like to talk with him about booking him as a speaker at your golf club etc., going along to a show or becoming a member of the Tommy Cooper Fan Club, please call him now.
