Willow-woman is the Web Site of a West Sussex basketmaker who has been self employed, designing and making baskets for twelve years. Commissions for willow baskets of all shapes and sizes are taken. A large choice of coloured willow is always in stock. Hedgerow materials can be woven into the baskets in season. Basket repairs are undertaken. Garden plant support/Tepee are made in the Spring. Willow-woman also re-rushes chairs and stools using freshly cut rushes harvested in England or imported from Holland. Basket-making workshops are held in Walberton Village several times a year and basket-making tuition is provided via Local Authority organised adult education classes and various private organisation. Willow-woman gives talks and slide presentations on the uses of willow in basketry.
