Artisan Stitch offers sewing classes and creative textile art workshops for all ages and abilities. From Beginners sewing courses, dressmaking and pattern cutting, to soft furnishings. Learn to make your own curtains and cushions. Get expert sewing tuition with lots of professional tips to raise your quality of finish. There'a also lots of creative embroidery and mixed media classes. Learn to do free-motion embroidery or applique in a bright and relaxed environment. I teach foundation textile design skills in a fun, easy to learn manner. Mono-printing and using paper collage for creative embroidery design. Sewing classes for children run during school holidays and half-term. Kids sewing courses run for 5 days or there's shorter sewing classes for kids too. I also offer one-to-one tuition for specific sewing issues, or if you're struggling with that new machine. I learnt to sew when I was around 7 years old and it's been my passion ever since. I'm a degree-trained textile designer and enjoy sharing my love of sewing and textile art with others. My studio is in a city-centre location with easy access by public transport. My customers travel from Edinburgh, the Lothians and central Scotland, the Scottish Borders and further afield places such as Dundee.
