LTC Eastbourne are an English language school based on the South coast of England, providing English lessons that are designed to increase knowledge, fluency, understanding and ability. LTC offer these English lessons to adults and groups throughout the year, and also to young learners during the summer. Our mission at LTC Eastbourne is to help students communicate effectively in English across cultures and borders in a welcoming and secure multicultural environment. Our vision is that our students and staff will experience the best of ELT practice. High standards of service, honesty and openness to change will drive forward the company's growth and continuous improvement. LTC Eastbourne is situated in a historic house which was home to one of England's most important aristocratic families, the Dukes of Devonshire, between 1782 and 1950. The LTC building has been around for at least seven hundred years. The oldest parts of the house were built in the years after 1544, when it was known as Bourne Place. One hundred years later, the house passed to the Wilson family, who used it as a farmhouse. LTC first occupied the building in 1954 as "LTC Ladies' College of English", a residential language school / finishing school for ladies. As the demand for LTC's Ladies courses dwindled, LTC admitted its first male students and became a more conventional language school.
