BMS Sublimation

26/05/2020

The term sublimation means that something goes from a solid state to gas without going through a liquid state in between. Sounds complicated but think of dry ice - that is solid and gases without going to liquid. Sublimation printing is a special form of printing where the ink is put onto paper and under heat and pressure the ink on the paper gases off and fuses with the item it is up against. The result is a photographic quality image reproduction within the item. So, for example, a picture put onto a mug will have a gloss glass like finish and the image will appear within the glaze. Our mugs are then fully dishwasher safe and the image cannot come off. The same effect applies to a large range of sublimation blanks - jigsaws, placemats, metal plaques, fridge magnets and much much more (a full range of blank products can be seen at www.printerowners.co.uk). Sublimation printing can also be used for aprons, t-shirts, cushions, pillow cases, oven gloves, glass chopping boards, teddy bear tshirts, money boxes, keepsake boxes, door plaques and many more items which are designed specifically for the sublimation market. For more information about starting your own business or having items printed please contact BMS on 01202 893166 or email enquiries@printerowners.co.uk
