Orangeries

03/06/2020

Orangeries first became popular in the 17th century for growing exotic plants and fruits that were native to warmer climates. Today, orangeries are elegant extensions with light flooding down from the lantern roof and through tall windows. Whereas Conservatories have walls entirely of glass, orangeries have side elevations partly constructed from brickwork or stone. Orangeries are a more substantial building incorporating flat roof areas with one or more inset lanterns. This type of structure can include as much or as little solid wall as the client desires. Our revolutionary construction method means that any orangeries supplied by Excel Home Improvements can be ready within days not weeks.
