FocusPsychology provides psychological services to schools, we become embedded in school teams and work on a whole school basis rather than relying on 'within child' assessments and diagnosis. We believe passionately that effective psychological services for schools can only be delivered through a multi-disciplinary targeted team containing specialist and complementary knowledge and experience, where the educational psychologist is one of a group of colleagues encompassing art psychotherapists, counsellors, clinical or specialist psychologists. This allows us to deliver a range of services at the point of need. Since our highly effective psychology is based on the environment around a child, rather than the generally ineffective approach of simply giving a child or young person a 'label' such as "dyslexia" or "ADHD" we do not offer services directly to individuals (ie. assessments). Please ask your child's school to get in touch with us.
