Smithy Cottage is a charming 18th Century detached limestone cottage that has been faithfully restored, retaining many original features including exposed beams throughout. The cottage is situated in the hamlet of Hopedale just outside the award winning conservation village of Alstonefield and it is half a mile from Milldale at the top of Dovedale. Enter through the front door to a porch, with storage for walking boots and coats, and then into a hallway with the kitchen to the left and lounge to the right. The Kitchen has modern units, ceramic hob with oven, a washing machine, fridge freezer and everything else you could need during your stay at the cottage.
