Tamar Fresh Food Service is a family business originally established by Francis Barrett and now run by sons David, Nigel and Ian with roots within the industry spanning many generations. We pride ourselves on sourcing our broccoli from Penzance, potatoes and cauliflower from Kingsbridge, parsnips from Exeter, apples from Sidmouth, strawberries and raspberries from the Tamar Valley, and, seasonally permitting, asparagus from the South Hams and Truro. This is only a very small percentage of the massive selection on offer. All our products are available to the public online at www.tamarfreshathome.co.uk or from our retail outlet at Tamar View Nurseries in Carkeel. In addition to the fine selection of fruit and vegetables in-store, we also have a large selection of meats, fresh bakery, ice cream and preserves. We have a large, modern fleet of delivery vehicles (including refrigerated) that supply and support businesses across the West Country. David and Ian manage and control the wholesale division from a purpose-built modern warehouse in Saltash. With so much fresh produce grown in our area, we feel that we owe it to you our customers to promote our local growers and suppliers. By supporting us you support them and also provide your families with the goodness of produce from local soils. While supporting all ethical policies, we can source produce from European markets, thus providing you, our customers, with a more extensive range.
