The Lazy Toad Inn is a recently refurbished late 19th century, Grade II listed, atmospheric country Inn with fabulous walks along the River Exe within two minutes walk of the pub. Dogs are welcome, on a lead. Brampford Speke is a picturesque atmospheric village made up of pretty thatched cottages, listed buildings and church. The emphasis here is on good food, with everything produced in our kitchen. We grow our own herbs, some soft fruits and vegetables in season and have a smokery where we smoke fish, game and meat and a recently planted orchard that will produce crops of apples, plums and pears for our dedicated chefs. You are advised to make a reservation, if you plan to come and try our menu, tables booked are yours for the evening or lunch to enable you to enjoy your experience here without feeling the need to rush.
