Well prepared marine staff
What is the key to a good job in sailing? Skills, luck or good friendships? Nowadays, the need for qualified personnel in sailing is an imperative of certified knowledge. What all successful people have in common is perseverance, deepening knowledge and respect for the profession and work. The answer to your question lies in the objectives, but also in the way knowledge and experience is passed on, and that is our responsibility and our role - says The Yachters, it is the crew that thinks about working at sea, but also experienced crew members who want to improve their skills. In recent years we have been working diligently to confirm our sailing education. With the new The Yachters brand, we have created a recognisable image that complements the full training of the sailing personnel. This is a logical step towards a growing and forward-looking industry, which must be accompanied by the level of services we offer. The result showing the development of nautical tourism also brings with it the need to raise the level of interest, but also requires an incredible level of service and professionalism in behaviour. In this type of training it was important to adapt the training to the needs of the market, to acquaint candidates with the criteria of employers when applying for a job and how to prepare for the needs and desires of the owner and the guest. We have moved away from the theoretical mastery of knowledge and conducted the course on locations, we have enriched it with motorboats to make it easier for candidates to practice and prepare for life and work on the most luxurious motor yachts. Of course the condition was to create an internal team of experts and trainers. The captain in charge of The Yachters will be pleased to point out that the crew on the yachts must, above all, know basic maritime skills in order to be able to assist with docking and sailing, coordinating tasks and radio communication, which must be accurate. It is also necessary to have a licence to drive the powerboat. Through training we prepare candidates on how to deal effectively with clearly structured tasks, but also on how to organise work independently and how to behave in unpredictable situations. Knowledge of procedures in case of a fire on the yacht, leaving the yacht and similar emergency and dangerous situations are only some of the procedures that the crew must perform almost automatically. Preparation for such situations takes place through basic training. Perhaps more important than in other professions, in a limited space to work on the open sea, is a sense of respect for others, healthy human relations, communication, responsibility for property and the workplace. Technology and money is an accelerator, only excellent staff can be the creator. On a yacht, perfection is not a skill, it is an attitude. Owners and guests highly appreciate the discretion, confidentiality and integrity of the yacht and everything on it. The specificity of The Yachters training has been appreciated by charter companies, which offer the most luxurious service and invest in internal training. The aim is to raise the awareness of employees at all levels, to be able to present and offer the services that the company promotes and offers and to meet the expectations of the houseboat guest.
