NFSCo - the National Fallen Stock Company - is a not for profit, idustry led organisation dedicated to delivering a valued service for the farming community. The Scheme is voluntary and is designed to assist farmers and horse owners with the requirement to comply with the Animal-By-Products Regulation which prevents on-farm burial of fallen stock by providing a Scheme which offers a reliable, low cost means of disposal. Our aim is to provide a national service for the collection and disposal of fallen stock that farmers use from choice. We do this by creating competition at local level to keep prices low and by providing high levels of biosecurity. In addition, the Collectors charges are offset using Government funding – Government provides a contribution to these charges on a declining basis until November 2007.
