Forensic Science Consultants
  Emmerson Associates is a UK company of both internal and external Forensic Science Consultants which has the capability to consider and evaluate most types of forensic evidence. Thus, although we are well-known for our work in alcohol-related matters, including breath testing devices, we also have expertise in many other types of forensic casework.   We attend forensic laboratories and re-examine items previously examined in order to review work reported by the Crown and take into account a defendant's account of events, which may not have been available at the time of the Crown's original work. We can also review forensic findings and provide comments or answers to specific queries that may be raised by instructing solicitors or Barristers.   We regularly attend Court in our capacity as Expert Witnesses, give evidence and provide guidance in relation to cross-examination.   Whilst our services are primarily UK-based, our expertise has been sought for cases as far afield as The Cayman Isles, South Africa and Bahrain.   We seek to offer high professional standards and to this end our scientists have many accreditations including Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, Academy of Experts, Society of Expert Witnesses, The Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators, Sweet & Maxwell, UK Directory of Expert Witnesses, Forensic Science Society and Royal Society of Chemistry.   All our reports and statements aim to be fully compliant with Part 33 Criminal Procedures Rules and Part 35 Civil Procedure Rules.
