Hi my name is Claire Hirst and I have been interested in photography for over 30 years (and i'm not even 40 yet ;) And I need YOU! Yes, you. To come along and have a great, fun photo session (not scary) and get some lovely pictures afterwards to hang on your wall or share with your friends. Or maybe just keep all to yourself. Bring friends, bring family or just bring your gorgeous self. You deserve a treat don't you? "But I don't look good in photos..." This photography experience is not for anyone else. You don't have to wait until you've lost weight, dyed your hair, found the perfect outfit etc... You can come in just as you are, and leave feeling amazing. The picture above was taken on a day when I had not planned to be in any pictures. My hair needed washing and I was not wearing make-up to cover my unruly red cheeks! (I have rosacea), yet it turned out to be one of my favourite pictures from the shoot and one that made my mum 'well-up' when I hung it in her living room :) Other people always see us in a better light than we see ourselves and we really have no idea what our tomorrows may bring so don't delay, create your lasting memories today! I have a lovely little photography studio nestled away down a cul-de-sac not far from the train station in Chatham (just 2 min walk in fact) and with parking bays for which I can provide a permit for your visit. It's warm, friendly and discreet. Not like other studios where it is vast, white and with what feels like many eyes on you! I even make a lovely cuppa, if that's what you fancy, when you visit. "But my kids might break something or not sit still, i'm worried about bringing them to a studio..." Fear not! I am a mummy too and understand your concerns. I'm sometimes mortified (depending on his level of over-excitement) when my boy jumps about and makes lots of noise etc etc (insert your own moment of 'horror' here lol) when we are out in a public place. Guess what? That kind of behaviour, running around, jumping, playing.... often makes the most cracking pictures (by 'cracking' I mean great - I'm a semi-northern gal!). And if a studio shoot does not fit the bill, well then we could simply explore the great outdoors for your shoot instead. Children look their best when they are free to be themselves (any Mum who has frustratedly tried to get their 'bored' or 'grumpy' little one to smile for a picture will fully understand where I am coming from here... And, if anything gets broken, well i'm insured for that too - so please relax, it's all taken care of. Whether you have any worries, questions or simply some great ideas, I'm just a phone call away.
