Cott Farm Barn is a spacious wedding venue with capacity for up to 200 guests. It seats 130 people comfortably with extra space for a built-in bar, entertainment (eg a band or disco) and a dance floor. We offer a generous four days when hiring The Barn for a wedding to allow you plenty of time for set-up and pack down. This allows the bride and groom time to get things just right beforehand, and time to recover and enjoy your first day as a married couple together without stress. We are fully licensed to sell alcohol and for our guests to play recorded and live music until 12 midnight. We allow you the freedom to choose your own outside caterers, florist, photographer etc, but are equally as happy to recommend our trusted local suppliers if you need help. The Barn comes complete with neutral decorations, but you are free to decorate the venue in a style to suit you if you'd prefer. Being on a farm, we are also happy to hire our paddock for your guests to camp overnight - perfect if you want a festival-style wedding in Somerset! Cott Farm is a former free-range egg farm nestled in a valley in rural South Somerset, just outside of the village of East Chinnock. Owned by the Seyfried family since 1973, the farm has grown and diversified and now includes a farm shop, furniture showroom and, most recently, The Barn. Originally a chicken house, the timber barn was a tractor shed for almost thirty years, until it was renovated in 2016 for the wedding of the youngest Seyfried, Ollie. The transformation was so amazing that a new permanent wedding venue was born.
