The ancient market town of Newtown is located 3 miles away and there are wonderful walks nearby including the 15 mile Kerry Ridgeway, Offa's Dyke and Glyndwr's Way. Montgomery with its castle ruins and the medieval Powis Castle are close by and there are steam railways and canals too.
