The Brass Academy runs music courses of exceptional quality for brass players aged 8-18. Our courses are suitable for those of Grade 1 standard to Grade 8 and beyond, and we also run The Workshop, an advanced and intensive course designed to stretch and challenge those who have passed their Grade 8. Our tutors are exceptional brass professionals, and include Mark David, Artistic Director and Head of Brass at the Royal Academy of Music; and Philippe Schartz, international soloist and Principal Trumpet with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Our courses include a two hour sports and activities session each day, and the courses can be attended on a day or residential basis, with a fun and varied programme of activities for those staying residentially.
