Education Staffing Link Limited (ESL) was founded in 1994 by Dorothy Dakin. Her aim was simple, to offer schools and members of the profession a high quality supply service. Guiding principles, adopted in 1994 remain as relevant today and our service provision remains under the watchful eye of our founding director. Dorothy's son, Jonathan joined ESL in 1997 and with Dorothy's expert guidance helped transform ESL from a sole propriety to a Limited Company which now employs 9 people within the office. Jonathan accepted the role of Managing Director in 2004. Recognising the value of shared best practice, in 1998, ESL joined the Education Section of FRES (Federation of Recruitment and Employment Services). As a consequence of the merger of two long-established bodies, FRES became the REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) in 2000.
