Adult Protection Level 2 POVA
The Adult Protection Level 2 POVA course has been developed to meet the 'In Safe Hands/No Secrets' guidance on staff training. This course will explore and expand the delegates' knowledge of abuse, the forms it can take, those at risk and the procedure for dealing with suspected or actual abuse.This course will also examine the wider issues of abuse of Vulnerable Adults and enable staff to develop prevention strategies. This course also incorporates the new guidelines specified for DOLS Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.The course is aimed at those working with vulnerable adults, covering -• Legislation and national and local policy• Types of abuse• Recognition of abuse• How to reduce the likelihood of abuse• Person centred values• Safeguarding and protection from abuse• Reporting unsafe practice• Reporting suspected abuse
