CD Duplication
Designing for CD duplication can be a bit daunting. The biggest thing to remember is to start your artwork at the right resolution which is 300dpi. Photoshop for example defaults to 72 dpi. The CD duplication house will reject the artwork if you don't change this. So when you start the project change this to 300 dpi (dots per inch). CD replication plants also need you to supply bleed (3mm extra around the outer edges of your artwork (just the paper bits, the disc doesnt need bleed). But remember there is a difference between CD duplication and CD replication. CD duplication uses CD-Rs (the same as you would use in your PC to burn info onto a disc) CD replication means that they make the CDs from scratch. CD replication is better but takes longer to make the discs.www.mediashack.co.uk supply both these services. We ship to throughout the UK, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Belfast, Dublin, Europe etc. DVD duplication and DVD replication is exactly the same.
