Gavin Robertson was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in Leicester in 1999. Having qualified in 1984 he then trained in Centres across the world for 15 years. He developed an expertise in Laparoscopic/keyhole surgery from its inception in 1993. His particular interests are the laparoscopic treatment of gallstones and their complications (over 4000 performed) and keyhole surgery to repair abdominal wall hernias with over 4200 procedures carried out. Other interests include the endoscopic diagnosis and surgical management of acid reflux disease.
