Snap Frames for NHS hygiene project
Snap frames are justifiably popular as changeable poster frames. The snap frame concept is ideal for displaying notices, printed signs and advertisements in many types of location. This Hampshire based company has recently secured an order to supply hundreds of snap poster frames to Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust. These are to be used for a range of purposes, but especially for promoting hand hygiene, which today is a high priority area in all hospitals. The special requirement was that the aluminium snap frames should accommodate encapsulated paper signs, often referred to as laminated signs. When an A4 piece of paper has been encapsulated (i.e. heat-sealed within a laminating pouch) the overall size increases slightly. The sealed border, which surrounds the print, prevents the notice from fitting into a regular A4 snap frame. The simple solution proposed by Green Magic was to manufacture the frames slightly oversize such that both true A4 paper and laminated A4 prints would fit perfectly into the frames. The snap-open frame surround makes it easy to insert prints and update the contents whenever required. Being encapsulated the notices are water-proof: which means that neither poster nor poster frame will be damaged by steam cleaning. This is an important consideration, for instance in toilets. Equally the same frame can be used in other humid areas or even outdoors. Green Magic already offers the option of water-proof snap frames. Now this new type of poster frame will allow rain-resisting laminated signs to be displayed outdoors in low cost snap frames.The new laminated size snap frames are stocked in A3 and A4 sizes.
