We have so much great local talent, but we're frustrated at the lack of decent platforms to showcase it. We have taken action and created Unique Boutique, or uBou as we like to call ourselves, with the mission of promoting everything unique, handmade and fabulous in the Cotswold area!FOR YOU:uBou aims to promote creativity for contemporary living, showcasing art & design talent in a relaxed & social atmosphere. We bring modern and forward-thinking designer/makers & artists to the public, giving dusty, crusty craft fairs the boot and bringing art events into the 21st century! We want to get, you, the public chatting to our makers about their work, letting them explain how easy it is to commission an artist for something truly unique to you, as well as the investment buying handmade can be.FOR ARTISTS/DESIGNERS/MAKERS: We started uBou in order to address a growing need for modern and contemporaryart, design & craft events. Out with old-fashioned, dusty, dreary fairs that drag on all day; in with our new, exciting events with real atmosphere. As artists and sellers ourselves, we know how disheartening it can be to spend all day at an event not suited to your work or attitude. Our intimate, modern events are real social occasions where customers chat happily and eagerly to you, keen to find out about how things are made, your inspirations and aspirations.
