Course Objective: &nbsp; To provide candidates with a broad based understanding of workplace Health and Safety and to obtain a recognised formal qualification. &nbsp; &nbsp; The NEBOSH Certificate is a formal qualification suitable for &nbsp; Managers and Supervisors Safety Officers Safety Representatives Any other person with health and safety related duties&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Course Content: &nbsp; On completion of the course the delegates will be able to:&nbsp;&nbsp; ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify hazards and unsafe practices ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monitor and audit management's safety policies, procedures and performance ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; List the requirements of health and welfare legislation ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assist in the preparation and review of safety policies ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Advise on action to minimise the risk of fire ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Undertake health and safety induction training ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Communicate effectively&nbsp; on health and safety issues ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare reports ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Describe where to obtain advice on health and safety ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain an information system ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Organise health and safety management ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Investigate injury, maintain reports, prepare reports ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Select appropriate inspection techniques ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Undertake workplace inspection&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Duration&nbsp;: 11 days block plus 1 day for examinations with a maximum number of 10 delegates per course&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Location:&nbsp; Hull
