Life at Frome: Designed around individuals living with Dementia and the importance of being inclusive to all the individuals within the home, has enabled us to create a "street" type layout enabling individuals to live within a community fit with gardens, "bricked" houses and even a bus-stop. All bedrooms are fully furnished however we do recommend adding a personal touch, whether that is replacing all the furniture, choosing the colour of the room or hanging a favourite picture on the wall. In addition, everyone living in the home has their own personalised front door; this may also include a small snapshot of that individual's life whether it is through photographs, literature or physical objects. This not only creates a homely and unique atmosphere but helps give a better understanding to the staff and less frequent visitors about that individual's preferences and past life.
