Omnisense is a new venture based in Cambridge, which has acquired the key know-how and intellectual property for the sparse wideband (SWB) real-time location system (RTLS) that was operationally proven by TurfTrax in horse racing. The vision is to commercialise and further develop the proprietary technology and IP to exploit the following inherent advantages, which the SWB RTLS can provide:- Rapid deployment- Automatic initialisation- Always-on locations- High accuracies in harsh environmentsThe resultant location aware sensor system is applicable across a number of markets that include: industrial, gaming, medical, oil & gas, defence and emergency services, in addition to sports.
