IMPACT - the International Health Impact Assessment Consortium - is a self-financing unit providing Health Impact Assessment (HIA) research, consultancy and training services. IMPACT was established in 2000 as a national centre of excellence for HIA. IMPACT has had many local, national and international commissions from local authorities, the NHS, private sector companies, the European Commission, WHO and various health ministries. HIAs undertaken by IMPACT have included strategies, programmes and projects in planning, transport, regeneration, housing, waste, health, crime, economy and employment.
