Alternatively they may be located within the camping area near the wildlife pond with a 16 amp power supply. In all cases, the Yurt has both a wood-burning stove to heat the interior and cook on and a firepit for outdoor barbeques and fine evenings.Unlike, many locations, you are NOT expected to dig latrines, use portable toilets etc. Instead our clients benefit from the use of Rivendale Holiday Park's luxurious underfloor heated stone shower building about 2-300 metres from the Yurt Pitches. Our guests also benefit from the use of the WiFi cafe, laundrette, bar and restaurant located in a superb stone barn conversion with blazing wood-burning stoves in cold weather.Rivendale lies within the Derbyshire Dales part of the Peak District, known as The White Peak due to the whiteness of the limestone rock which makes up the spectacular gorges, cliffs and caves for which the area is famous. Arguably the most scenic and beautiful of these landscapes is Dove Dale - the northern end of which is a pleasant walk from Rivendale Caravan Park. Peak District Yurts are perfect for walking, cycling, mountain biking, pony trekking and other outdoor pursuits. The Tissington Trail is just 100 metres from site and links to the Peak District Trails Triangle, High Peak Trail, Limestone Way etc. Or walk into Dove Dale via Cold Eaton Dale and Mill Dale directly from site. After a hard days vigorous exercise, hire our traditional Scandinavian hot tub relax and ease any aching limbs. If the weather turns poor there are half a dozen stately homes within about thirty minutes drive including Chatsworth, kedleston, Haddon Hall.
